Simple saving solutions
There are people who systematically budget and categorize their finances using thoughtful investing strategies. But the majority of the population don’t have the time, knowledge or tools to save money for achieving their goals. Where will a daily labor get the time and energy for budgeting? But here are two fun ways to make saving your everyday habit.
Go back to childhood days
Yes! You heard it right, now you can improve your regular saving habit by just revisiting your childhood days. Remember the piggy banks that we all had when we were 3 or 4 years old kids? Those piggy banks can now help you save money effortlessly and in a fun way. All you have to do is put the excess daily change that you have in your wallet or purse into a piggy bank. It might sound silly, but now-a-days people forget that coins/ change has value too. So, start dropping those loose changes in a piggy bank. Once there is enough money or if the piggy bank gets full, deposit it in your bank account. You will be surprised to see what this will grow into!
Collect currency notes
Like stamp collection, collecting new currency notes is also a hobby for many people. You can also start putting away the new currency notes that you get.
Or, you can make it a fun hobby to collect less used denomination of currency like Rs. 50 note and put them in an old wallet at home. Once you feel there is sufficient cash to go to the bank to deposit them, just go and put them in your savings account.
You can also make it a fun activity to put away the first currency note that you get at the start of the day or at the end of the day in a secret compartment in your wallet. If it is a bigger denomination currency, then put away a smaller denomination in the same multiple (ex: Rs. 10 note instead of Rs. 1000 note).
These fun hobbies will help you save money in a very effortless way and they do not come with any pressure tag of putting away any fixed amount every month or every week.
